When will my order become binding?

The order is binding on both parties as soon as it is confirmed by us, primarily per e-mail. You will then receive an email with the booking number. The confirmation can also take place per phone if you do not have access to email. The confirmation is normally sent immediately after the deposit (see below) or the order in full has been registered paid.

What amount, when and to whom should I pay?

When ordering, a deposit of NOK is calculated. 250, – per person, if the trip is not paid in full. This amount is paid into our account:
2095 48 38219, Sjoa Rafting AS. We send out payment information for the deposit.

The remaining amount is paid on arrival, unless otherwise agreed. Remember to state the payment under which name the trip is booked, which trip is booked, and date of the trip. Be careful with this. Receipt that states that the deposit has been paid is valid as a participant certificate.

The registration is binding for both parties when the deposit or the trip in full has been paid. If booked so shortly before the start of the trip that a deposit cannot be registered in our account, the full amount will be paid on arrival.
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Eurocard.

What do I do if I want to cancel?

You can cancel in writing to us per e-mail. If you do not have access to e-mail, we can accept the cancellation per telephone. In case of cancellation, we need the booking number stated.

  • If canceled more than 4 weeks before the start of the tour, a fee of NOK is retained. 100, – pr. person.

  • If canceled between 28 and 14 days before the start of the tour, the paid deposit will be retained (NOK 250 per person).

  • If canceled later than 14 days before the start of the tour, the entire cost of the tour may be charged.

  • Cancellations due to illness or death in the participant’s immediate family must be confirmed by a doctor. In that case then only a fee of NOK is retained. 100, –

What do I do if I just want to change information or number of participants?

Changes happens per e-mail, possibly telephone.

But if something happens to me?

You can cancel without any other fee than a handling fee of NOK. 100, -, if the following occurs:

a) death, illness or accident of a serious nature that affects yourself, your spouse, cohabitant, your or your spouse’s parents, children, siblings or travel companion.

b) summons to military service or the Civil Defense.

c) if there is any other serious event beyond your control, which you could not foresee when you ordered and which means that it is not reasonable to require you to maintain your order, e.g. extensive fire or flooding of your home. You must be able to present a certificate e.g. from a doctor, government or insurance company that explains your cancellation.

The certificate should be sent to us as soon as possible, but not later than 14 days after the cancellation date.

What happens in case of cancellation?

Sjoa Rafting AS can cancel trips if there are not enough participants on the trip (generally min. 4), or due to force majeure or too demanding water flow / weather conditions. Participants must then be notified of this as soon as possible. Paid deposit / amount will be refunded.
