When you arrive at Sjoa Rafting AS, you are welcomed by the best location on the shores of Sjoa. We are the closest neighbor to the river located in the heart of beautiful Heidal, and you avoid wet and cold bus transport after the activities!
The camp is unique and creates the perfect atmosphere for your visit. The idyllic facilities by the river are both a gathering place for activities and a wilderness camp for those who want to sleep in a lavvo. We also have great indoor accommodation for those who want a roof over their heads.
The camp also offers function rooms where we serve our guests memorable meals and brews in Nord-Gudbrandsdalen’s cheapest bar. All in scenic surroundings with traditional cultural landscape and historic buildings of Heidal – the village with the most protected farms in all of Norway and the most famous rafting river in Europe.
White water afting is our most popular activity – but we have many other experiences to offer! Choose from canyoning, paintball, SUP, river boarding, ducky, bridge jumping and many other experiences on and around Europe’s best white water rafting river.
All our activities are gently based on the natural resources around us. Sjoa Rafting AS offers tailor-made activity experiences for individuals, groups, companies, school classes, bachelor parties and families.

By train:
You can visit us by train both from the south and from the north. The train station is Otta. The simplest is to book pick up from here, www.entur.no. Contact us for the price of pick up at Otta.
By bus from north or west:
You can also arrive by bus. Check if the bus stops at Sjoa. If not, get off at Otta, www.entur.no. Arrange pick up with us in advance.
By bus from the south (direction from Oslo):
Check if the bus stops at Sjoa and make sure that is does not have an hour-long stop-over at Kvam. If it does not stop at Sjoa, or if the bus has an hour-long stop-over at Kvam, arrange pick up with us in advance.
By car:
From E6 through Gudbrandsdalen (north or south): Drive to Sjoa and take Fv 257 (at
Bunker Oil) towards Heidal / Randsverk, then you will find us on the left-hand side after 7 kilometers.
From the west (Lom, Stryn, Parish):
Take national road 15 and the Fv 51 towards Randsverk (20 km) by Randen. In Randsverk you turn to the left towards Sjoa, Fv 257. From Randsverk to us it is 25 km. We are on the right-hand side when you drive out of the 50-zone in Nedre Heidal.
From Fagernes, Beitostølen and Gjende:
Drive Fv 51 north to Randsverk. Here you turn right towards Sjoa, Fv 257. From Randsverk to
Sjoa Rafting it is 25 km. We are on the right-hand side when you drive out of the 50-zone in Nedre Heidal.
