Fight an adrenaline-filled battle in “Capture the flag”, give everything for the team in “Last man standing” or play by your own rules! At Sjoa Rafting AS, you decide the rules, and we make sure you have everything you need to have fun.
The adrenaline kicks in when you run across the battlefield, chasing the flag and miraculously avoiding the balls! The paintball arena is full of exciting places to hide and obstacles that are scattered around the forest. To win the battle, you must use both concentration and strategy. Will your team win?
Paintball is a game where two teams compete to eliminate each other by hitting each other with plastic balls full of paint. When the balls hit, they burst, so that the opponent is marked, and he/she is out of the game.
Our paintball battles take place in the forest. We have the capacity to welcome 24 participants at the same time on the course. Participants are equipped with a protective mask, paintball marker, magazine with 200 balls and coveralls (red and blue). We use compressed air instead of CO2 for environmental reasons and for operational safety.

Why is paintball so much fun? While we can all agree that war is a terrible thing in the real world, we all tend to enjoy a good fight when it’s just for fun. And this is definitely just for fun.
We step into a fantasy world, and we are challenged in a way that we are not used to at all in everyday life. The excitement of the game, the incredible adrenaline rush and the feeling of having to trust our instincts make this activity an adrenaline rush. This is a lot of fun.
The small balls used in paintball do not hurt when they hit. They crack and color is spread on the person to indicate that he or she is no longer in the game. You will wear both coveralls and a protective mask to protect yourself from paint.
Do you need to know how to handle a paintball marker to participate in the game?
No not at all. At Sjoa Rafting AS, we will give you all the necessary instructions, technical and safety-wise, and ensure that you are ready for war.
The forest on the island at Sjoa Rafting AS is perfect for a paintball match. There are many places to hide and wait for someone from the opposite team.
How you play the game is up to you. Either two teams battle each other to steal the other team’s flag in their half of the court and bring it back to their own base camp, without being hit by the opponent’s balls of course, or it’s every player for themselves. In that case, you must take down all the other players by knocking them out with balls without getting hit yourself.
Both ways to play the game are fun and adrenaline-filled – it’s up to you.
At Sjoa Rafting AS, we have room for 24 players on the course at the same time. If you are more than 24 people, we suggest that you divide into smaller groups and maybe have one group doing paintball while another group does bridge part, pentathlon or something else. There are many activities to choose from.
If you contact us, we will be more than happy to advise you on how to plan the perfect day and make the most of it.
Safety is central to Sjoa Rafting AS. Whichever activity you choose, you can be sure that all safety precautions have been taken. This of course also applies to paintball. This means that the participants must in no way be under the influence of alcohol or drugs when taking part in activities.
Capture the flag!
When playing the game “Capture the flag”, the goal is to capture the opponent’s flag in their half of the court and take it back to your home base without getting hit.
It requires courage and it requires that all participants understand the importance of collaborating in a strategic way. Only by protecting each other will you be able to successfully capture the other team’s flag.
Last man standing!
Another way to play paintball is “Last man standing”. In this game there are no friends, only enemies. All alone out in the forest, it’s you against the rest. You must overcome all other opponents to win the battle. The winner is the last man standing! Do you have what it takes to win the battle?
This game is highly recommended! It is impossible not to get involved in the game when you are fighting for your own “survival”. You forget everything else around you and can only focus on making sure no one knocks you out. It is a guaranteed change from everyday life.
Highly recommended!
